What is Reverse Crafting?

Reverse Crafting is a Minecraft Bedrock addon that lets you undo your crafting mistakes and recycle items you no longer need. Got a Diamond Pickaxe with full durability that you want to replace? Open a Crafting Table, add the Pickaxe and a Stick, and you get 3 Diamonds back. Upgraded your armor to Netherite and have old Diamond Chestplates lying around? Reverse them into 8 Diamonds each.

The addon adds 30 reverse recipes covering Diamond tools and armor, Iron tools and armor, Gold items, and a collection of other useful items including Bookshelves, Bows, Shields, Anvils, Minecarts, and Compasses. All recipes work at a regular Crafting Table — no new blocks, no commands needed.

Just like Smelt Everything, this addon includes a full Discovery System that tracks which recipes you have used and rewards you with achievement ranks as you discover more.

How To Reverse Items

Open your Crafting Table and follow these simple rules:

📌 Rule 1 — Tools need a Stick

All tool reverse recipes require the tool plus one Stick in the crafting grid. Place them anywhere — the recipe is shapeless. The Stick is needed to avoid conflicts with vanilla crafting recipes.

📌 Rule 2 — Armor and other items go alone

Armor pieces and all other items (Bookshelf, Bow, Shield, etc.) only need the item itself placed in the crafting grid. No Stick needed.

Damaged items and enchanted items are both accepted. You always get back the full base material amount.

Discovery System

Every time you use one of the 30 reverse recipes for the first time, the Discovery System records it. You get an action bar notification and a sound effect confirming the new discovery. Open the Stats Panel with Sneak + Book to view your progress, the full recipe list, and your current achievement rank.

How To Unlock Pro Mode

1. Get a Name Tag item in your inventory.
2. Hold the Name Tag in your main hand.
3. Hold Sneak (Shift on PC / Sneak button on Mobile).
4. While sneaking, Use the Name Tag (Right Click on PC / Tap on Mobile).
5. A panel opens asking for the Secret Key.
6. Enter the key exactly as shown, then press Submit.
7. Pro Mode is now active forever for that world.

How To Install

1. Download the .mcaddon file using the download button below.
2. Tap or click the file. Minecraft will open and import both packs automatically.
3. Create a new world or edit an existing one.
4. Go to Settings > Experiments and enable Beta APIs.
5. Add both Behavior Pack and Resource Pack to your world.
6. Enter the world and start reversing!

Note: All 30 reverse recipes work without Beta APIs. Beta APIs are only required for the Discovery System, Stats Panel, and Pro features.
