How It Works

Vein Miner does exactly what the name suggests. You mine a single ore block and every connected ore of the same type breaks along with it. No commands, no settings, no complicated setup. Just grab a pickaxe, find an ore, and start mining.

The addon detects connected ore blocks in all directions — up, down, left, right, and diagonally. When you break one block, it scans for matching ores around it and breaks them all in quick succession. Items drop where the blocks were, and you get XP for each one.

If you want to mine just one block without triggering the chain break, hold Sneak (Crouch) while mining. That way, only the single block you hit will break. Simple toggle, no extra items needed.

1. Hold any Pickaxe — Wood, Stone, Iron, Diamond, or Netherite all work.
2. Mine a supported ore the way you normally would.
3. All connected ores of the same type break automatically.
4. Items drop and you receive bonus XP for every block.

Supported Ores

The addon covers over 20 ore variants across the Overworld and the Nether. Here is the full breakdown of what you can vein mine and which mode is required.

Free vs Pro Mode

The addon comes with two tiers. Free mode gives you a solid taste of what vein mining feels like, while Pro unlocks the full experience with every ore, higher limits, and some game-changing automation features.

Pro Mode Features

Auto Pickup

In Pro Mode, you do not need to walk around collecting dropped items from the ground. Every mined item goes directly into your inventory the moment the block breaks. It keeps your mining flow smooth, especially when you are clearing out large veins deep underground.

Auto Smelt

This one saves a lot of time and fuel. When you mine Iron, Gold, Copper, or Ancient Debris in Pro Mode, the raw materials are automatically converted into their smelted forms. No furnace, no waiting, no coal wasted.

• Raw Gold turns into Gold Ingot
• Raw Copper turns into Copper Ingot
• Ancient Debris turns into Netherite Scrap

64 Block Vein Limit

Free mode caps the chain at 8 blocks per vein. That is usually enough for small deposits like Diamond or Emerald. But for massive Coal or Copper veins, 8 blocks barely scratches the surface. Pro Mode raises the limit to 64 blocks, so you can clear entire deposits in one swing.

Tips and Tricks

A few things worth knowing before you start vein mining across your world.

• Hold Sneak when you only want to break a single ore. Useful when you want to be careful around lava near Diamond level.
• Diamond veins are usually 1 to 8 blocks. Even Free mode handles them fully most of the time.
• Ancient Debris is scattered through the Nether in small clusters. Pro mode connects all nearby ones so you do not miss any.
• Auto Smelt removes the need for furnaces entirely when it comes to ore processing. That is less fuel gathering and more actual gameplay.
• Nether Gold Ore drops multiple nuggets per block. Combine that with vein mining for quick gold farming sessions.
• Fortune enchantment applies to the first block you mine manually. The addon handles the remaining blocks separately.
• Your pickaxe only loses durability for the first block. The rest of the chain does not cost any durability.

How to Install

1. Download the .mcaddon file using the download button on this page.
2. Tap or click the downloaded file. Minecraft will open and import it automatically.
3. Open Minecraft and either create a new world or edit an existing one.
4. Go to Behavior Packs, find Vein Miner, and activate it.
5. Go to Experiments and enable Beta APIs.
6. Create the world and start playing.
