Minecraft Badlands Guide: How to Find Gold Fast + Top 3 Seeds ๐ต
Hello Gold Hunters! Welcome back to Racing Raftaar.
Do you know which is the rarest biome in Minecraft? After the Mushroom Island, it is the Badlands (Mesa). This place isn't just beautiful to look at; it is actually a "treasure chest." Most new players just see it as "colorful mountains" and move on, but a pro player knows this is the spot to get rich.
Today we are refreshing some old memories. This was actually the very first post on this blog back in 2020, and today in 2025, I am fully updating it. I will tell you how to find Unlimited Gold in the Badlands, how to survive here, and I will also share the Top 3 Badlands Seeds that work 100% on Minecraft PE 1.21 Render Dragon.
WHY BADLANDS IS BEST? (GOLD MINE) ๐ฐ
The Badlands biome (formerly known as Mesa) is the most unique part of the Minecraft world. It is made of Red Sand and Terracotta. But we aren't here to dig dirt; we are here for the GOLD.
The Secret Gold Logic:
In normal biomes like Forest or Plains, Gold is only found deep underground (below Y-level -16). You have to dig a lot there. But in the Badlands, the rules of Minecraft change completely:
- High Level Gold: Here, Gold spawns right on the surface (from Y-level 32 to 256). This means you don't even need to go underground; you will spot Gold Ores right on the mountains.
- Exposed Mineshafts: This is the biggest feature of this biome. Mineshafts are generated open on the surface. You don't have to wander in the dark—just walk in, follow the rails, and loot the chests.
- No Monsters (Sometimes): Mineshafts do have Cave Spider spawners, but if you are exploring the surface during the day, this place is quite safe for mining.
TOP 3 BADLANDS SEEDS (MCPE 1.21) ๐
Now let's talk about the seeds that will make you rich as soon as you spawn. I tested more than 50 seeds myself, and these 3 are the absolute best.
1. THE ENDLESS BADLANDS
This seed is for those who want tons of Terracotta and Gold. As soon as you spawn, you will see nothing but red sand and mountains around you. This biome is so huge it feels endless.
- Spawn: Direct in Badlands.
- Feature: The biome stretches for thousands of blocks. You will find at least 5-6 surface Mineshafts nearby.
2. WOODED BADLANDS PLATEAU
The biggest problem in the Badlands is the lack of "Wood." There are no trees. But in this "Wooded Plateau" seed, there are Oak trees right on top of the mountains.
- Feature: Wooded Badlands (Mesa with trees).
- Survival: It is easy to build a starter house here because both wood and gold are available nearby. You don't need to go out.
3. THE RARE COMBO (BONUS)
This is my favorite seed. In this one, you get a Badlands biome along with a Desert Village. Loot and get rich! The village might even have a Blacksmith.
- Coordinates: You might have to walk a little for the Village (about 200 blocks).
- Structures: There is also a Ruined Portal nearby, which you can use to go to the Nether.

SURVIVAL GUIDE: HOW TO SURVIVE? ๐ก️
Surviving in the Badlands is not easy. Finding food and wood here is a challenge. Here are some pro tips for you:
1. Food Source:
Animals like Cows or Sheep rarely spawn here. So, first thing at night—kill "Spiders," get String, and craft a Fishing Rod. Catching fish in the nearby river is the best way to get food here.
2. Building Blocks:
Cobblestone is scarce here, but Terracotta is everywhere. Terracotta has good Blast Resistance. Build your house walls with colorful Terracotta; it doesn't break easily even if a Creeper explodes.
Never go "Strip Mining" deep down in the Badlands. Just explore the caves and Mineshafts generated in the mountains. You will get 2-3 stacks of Gold without breaking a single block! Also, don't forget to break the rails; you'll get free Iron.
