Imagine a game where the enemy learns from your mistakes. If you try to sneak through the window, next time there will be a bear trap. If you run through the front door, he will put a camera there. This is Hello Neighbor.

Unlike the dark and gloomy atmosphere of Granny 3, this game is bright, colorful, and looks like a cartoon. But don't let the colors fool you. Mr. Peterson (The Neighbor) is faster than you think. In this guide, we will help you clear Act 1 without getting caught too many times.

1. Stealth Basics: Hiding & Throwing 📦

Before you run in, you need to know how to survive. The Neighbor has excellent hearing.

• Hiding: You can hide inside wardrobes (like in Roblox DOORS) or under beds. Wait until the music stops.
• Throwing: Pick up boxes, trash cans, or lawnmowers. Throw them at windows to break them. Throw them at the Neighbor to slow him down.
• Traps: Watch out for Bear Traps on the floor. If you step on one, you can't move until you pry it open.

2. The Box Stacking Puzzle (Roof Access) 🏠

The front door is locked. The back door is guarded. The best way in is through the Roof.

Find cardboard boxes in the yard. Stack 2 or 3 boxes near the shelves next to the front porch ladder. Climb up the ladder to the roof. From there, walk carefully along the wooden planks.

3. Getting the Magnet Gun (Car Trunk) 🧲

This is the most important tool in Act 1. Without it, you cannot reach the Red Key.

1. Go to the second floor (via the roof window).
2. Look for a room with a key rack on the wall.
3. Grab the Car Key (it looks like a normal metal key).
4. Run back outside to the Neighbor's red car.
5. Unlock the trunk (boot). Inside, you will find the Magnet Gun.

This gun can pull metal objects from far away. It is very fun to use, almost like the GrabPack in Poppy Playtime.

4. Finding the Red Key 🔴

The Red Key unlocks the basement door. But where is it? It is usually located in the upstairs "Lost & Found" room or on a high table that you can't reach.

Use the Magnet Gun: Aim the gun at the Red Key through the keyhole or window. Pull it towards you. Once you have it, run like crazy!

5. Entering the Basement (Ending) 🚪

Now that you have the Red Key, go to the strange door under the stairs in the main hallway.

Unlock the padlock. Open the door. You will see a dark staircase leading down. Walk into the darkness to finish Act 1. But be careful... Act 2 is even harder and much weirder!
