What is Clear Lag?
When you play Minecraft for a while — especially with multiple players — ground items, hostile mobs, XP orbs, and stuck arrows pile up everywhere. Every one of these is an entity the game has to track every tick, causing lag that slows everything down.
Clear Lag runs a background timer and automatically removes these entities at regular intervals. Before every clear, all players get a 10 second warning with a countdown and sound effects — so nobody loses important items by surprise. Your world stays smooth and your builds stay fast.
Free Mode handles the most common cause of lag — ground items — with a balanced 5 minute timer. Pro Mode gives you full control: adjust the timer, protect valuable items with a whitelist, clear hostile mobs, XP orbs, and arrows, and monitor your entity count in real time.

How To Unlock Pro Mode
- Hold a Hopper in your main hand.
- Hold Sneak and Use the Hopper to open the Clear Panel.
- Select Unlock Pro Mode from the panel.
- Enter the Secret Key and press Submit.
- Pro Mode unlocks for everyone in the world instantly!

How To Install

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will it delete my items if I drop them?
You always get a 10 second warning with sound before any clear. Pick up your items before the countdown ends. In Pro Mode you can also enable the whitelist — Diamond and Netherite gear, Elytra, Totem, and other valuable items are never deleted even if they are on the ground.
Q: Will it kill my pets?
Never. Tamed mobs — wolves, cats, horses, parrots, llamas, and all other pets — are always 100% safe regardless of settings. Only hostile mobs can be cleared, and only in Pro Mode when you specifically enable mob clearing. Villagers are also always protected.
Q: Can I clear items manually?
Yes. Hold a Hopper, Sneak and Use it to open the Clear Panel, then select Clear Now. A 10 second countdown starts and then everything is cleared. This is useful when your world is suddenly lagging and you don't want to wait for the next auto clear.
Q: Does it clear items in chests or inventories?
No. Only ground items — dropped item entities — are cleared. Items stored in chests, barrels, shulker boxes, hoppers, furnaces, and all player inventories are completely safe. The addon only targets entities on the ground.
Q: Does it work in all dimensions?
Yes. Clear Lag removes ground items in the Overworld, Nether, and The End simultaneously. The action bar timer and entity count monitor also reflect entities across all active dimensions.
Q: Does it actually improve performance?
Yes, significantly. Every item, mob, XP orb, and arrow on the ground is an entity the game has to process every single tick. On a busy server with hundreds of ground items this causes major lag. Removing them regularly reduces the entity load and makes the world run noticeably smoother.
Q: Can I turn it off completely?
Yes. Open the Clear Panel (Sneak + Hopper) and toggle Auto Clear OFF. The timer stops completely and nothing is cleared automatically. You can still use manual clear anytime whenever you want. Toggle it back ON at any time.
Q: Does it work on Realms?
Yes! Clear Lag is fully compatible with Realms and multiplayer. All players receive the warning and countdown simultaneously. The clear report showing how many items were removed is sent to every player in the world.
