In the vast world of Minecraft, the Totem of Undying is a coveted item. It grants you a second chance at life, saving you from a fatal blow. However, in its vanilla state, it is simply a safety net. It pops, gives you a small regeneration buff, and disappears. For a legendary item dropped by Evokers, it feels underwhelming.

Today, I am proud to release the RR Totems Unleashed Addon. This script completely reimagines the functionality of the totem. Instead of just saving you, it turns your moment of death into a devastating counter-attack or a miraculous escape. With five unique "God Powers" to choose from, you can summon lightning like Thor, explode like a nuclear Creeper, or vanish into thin air like a ghost.

In this comprehensive guide, I will explain the technical mechanics of each power, the safety protocols encoded in the script to prevent self-damage, and how you can unlock the full potential of this artifact in Minecraft Bedrock 1.21+.

The Mechanics: Triggering the Power

This addon utilizes the advanced `entity_hurt` and `item_use` components of the Minecraft Script API. It listens specifically for the event where a player holding a totem takes fatal damage. Unlike basic command block creations, this script runs a complex check before activating.

When the totem "pops," the script immediately interrupts the death sequence and triggers your selected power. Crucially, it applies a `resistance: 255` effect for 2 seconds to the player. This ensures that whatever chaos you unleash—be it explosions or lightning—you remain completely unharmed while everything around you is destroyed.

The 5 God Powers

You can toggle between these powers using the in-game menu. Two are available for free, while three "Pro" powers require an unlock key.

1. TNT Blast (Free Mode)

Turn yourself into a living bomb. Upon totem activation, a massive explosion creates a shockwave around you.

• Radius: 6 Blocks.
• Safety: "Breaks Blocks" is set to false, so your base will not be destroyed. Only mobs and players take damage.
• Use Case: Perfect for when you are cornered by a horde of Zombies in a cave.

2. Ghost Form (Free Mode)

If you prefer flight over fight, this is for you. Activating the totem renders you completely invisible and grants Speed IV.

• Duration: 20 Seconds.
• Effect: Mobs instantly lose aggro because they cannot see you. You can sprint away to safety to regenerate health.

3. Thor Strike (Pro Mode)

Channel the power of the Thunder God. This script scans for all entities within a 12-block radius and summons a lightning bolt on each one.

• Smart Targeting: The script ignores the player, striking only enemies.
• Damage: Instant high damage plus fire damage.
• Visuals: A spectacular display of power that clears the battlefield instantly.

4. Ice Freeze (Pro Mode)

The ultimate crowd control. This power locks all nearby enemies in place.

• Effect: Applies Slowness X and Weakness X to all hostile mobs within 10 blocks.
• Result: Enemies become statues. They cannot move or attack, giving you ample time to crit them out or escape.

5. Warp Escape (Pro Mode)

The ultimate survival tool. If you are about to die, the totem teleports you to a random safe location.

• Logic: Teleports you 20-40 blocks horizontally and 15 blocks vertically.
• Safety: Applies "Slow Falling" instantly so you glide down gently to the ground, far away from the danger that almost killed you.

Interface and Controls

I have designed a custom UI to manage these powers. You do not need to memorize commands.

Opening the Power Menu:

1. Hold a Totem of Undying in your hand.
2. Crouch (Sneak) and Use Item (Long Press).
3. The Power Selection Menu will appear. Choose your active mode here.

How to Unlock Pro Powers

To access Thor Strike, Ice Freeze, and Warp Escape, along with the usage statistics panel, you must authenticate the addon.

Unlock Instructions:

1. Hold a Name Tag.
2. Crouch and Use Item to open the Unlock Interface.
3. Enter the Master Key provided below:

Once unlocked, you can also view your Totem Statistics, which track how many times you have cheated death.

Installation & Requirements

This addon is powered by the Script API. It requires specific world settings to function correctly.

1. Download the .mcpack file below.
2. Import it into Minecraft and apply the Behavior Pack.
3. Go to World Settings > Experiments.
4. Turn ON "Beta APIs". Without this, the script cannot detect player death or trigger powers.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Will the TNT destroy my builds?
No. The explosion is coded to damage entities only. It will not break blocks, making it safe to use inside your house or base.

2. Can I use this in multiplayer?
Yes. The script tracks each player independently. If you activate Thor Strike, it will not hurt your teammates unless you have PvP enabled and they are within range.

3. Why didn't the power activate?
Ensure you have "Beta APIs" enabled. Also, check that you have actually selected a power in the menu (Sneak + Use Totem). If "None" is selected, it acts as a normal totem.
