Minecraft Ultimate Slime Farm Guide Wiki: Unlimited Sticky Pistons (2026) ðŸŸĒ

Updated: Jan 2026 • Version: 1.21+ • Difficulty: ⭐⭐⭐
⚡ Quick Summary: We find a "Slime Chunk" underground (where Slimes spawn naturally). We build platforms and use an Iron Golem to attract the Slimes. They jump towards the Golem, fall into a pit of Magma Blocks, and die instantly.

Welcome Gamers to the Racing Raftaar Wiki! ðŸŸĒ

We have built the Tree Farm and the Moss Farm. Both of these use Sticky Pistons. But crafting Sticky Pistons requires Slime Balls.

Hunting Slimes in a Swamp at night is annoying. You have to wait for a full moon, and it's slow. The Pro way is to find a "Slime Chunk" and build a machine that runs 24/7 underground.

In this guide, we will build a multi-layer Slime Farm that produces thousands of slime balls per hour.

1. The Science: Finding a Slime Chunk 🧠

Slimes don't spawn everywhere. They only spawn in:

  • Swamps: Only at night, surface level (Slow).
  • Slime Chunks: Specific 16x16 areas underground (Y-level < 40). This works 24/7 (Fast).

How to find a Slime Chunk?
The easiest way is to use a website like Chunkbase.com. Enter your world seed, and it will highlight the green squares. Go to those coordinates in your game.

2. The Trap Design (Diagram) 📐

Slimes are aggressive towards Players and Iron Golems. We use this against them.

Mechanism Explained:

  • Platforms: We dig out the chunk and leave platforms for Slimes to spawn on.
  • The Bait: An Iron Golem is trapped in a cage in the middle of the air.
  • The Jump: Slimes see the Golem and try to attack him. They jump off the platform.
  • The Fall: They miss the Golem and fall straight down into Magma Blocks.

2. Materials List ðŸ“Ķ

Prepare your items using a Crafting Table.

ItemQuantityUse
Magma Blocks64The floor that kills.
Iron Blocks4To build Golem.
Carved Pumpkin1To build Golem.
TorchesLotsTo stop other mobs.
PickaxeEfficiency VLots of digging.
Hoppers/Chests2-4Collection.

3. Step-by-Step Build Guide 🏗️

Step 1: Dig the Hole

Go to your Slime Chunk. Dig a 16x16 hole from Y=40 down to Y=10 (Bedrock level). This is a lot of work, so use your Haste II Beacon if you have one.

Step 2: The Spawning Platforms

Slimes can spawn on any solid block. Build platforms inside your hole at different heights (e.g., Y=10, Y=14, Y=18). Leave a 3-block gap between floors so big slimes can fit.

Step 3: The Golem Cage

On one side of the wall (or in the center), build a small cage using Iron Bars or Fences. Spawn an Iron Golem inside.
Make sure the Golem cannot escape, but the Slimes can SEE him.

Step 4: The Kill Zone

At the very bottom of the pit, place Magma Blocks.
When Slimes jump at the Golem, they will fall into this pit. The Magma will damage them until they die. Place a Hopper Minecart underneath the Magma to collect the drops.

ðŸ’Ą Lighting: Light up the platforms with Torches or Jack o'Lanterns. Slimes can spawn in light (in Slime Chunks), but Zombies and Skeletons cannot. We only want Slimes!

5. Crafting Sticky Pistons 🔧

Now that you have unlimited Slime Balls, check your loot.

Chest Full of Slime Balls

The Recipe:
1 Slime Ball + 1 Piston = 1 Sticky Piston.

Sticky Pistons are used in:
Tree Farms (Moving logs)
Moss Farms (Crushing moss)
Stone Farms (Pushing stone)

Also, 9 Slime Balls = 1 Slime Block. These are bouncy and great for parkour or flying machines!
